Hello

My name is Janna (she/her), and I love any opportunity to play beautiful music! From wedding ceremonies to holiday parties to church services, accompanying other musicians or going solo, I've got experience with it all and it's a joy to bring music to others.

I play piano and organ, and I'm available for both religious and non-religious events.

My Story

I grew up surrounded by music and was lucky to have taken 12+ years of piano lessons from an excellent teacher. I was also a band kid and learned to play a bunch of instruments since my dad was the band director. Between piano, band, choir, and theatre, I always had something musical going on!

The first wedding I played for was my sister's; I was in 8th grade and I played clarinet. Since that time I've upped my game a little. I've been playing (piano and organ) profressionally for 20 years and counting. At times I have played in bands, served as head organist for a church, and played for so many wonderful weddings and other events. I have also had the privilege to play for a number of funerals. Every time I play I see it as an opportunity to provide a soundtrack for people's memories. That's the magic of music.

I've also been teaching piano lessons for almost 15 years. It is my belief that every person can benefit from learning to play an instrument. Music appreciation is something that will be with my students their whole lives, and along the way I'm helping build their language skills, math, reading, coordination, and connections in the brain that don't form unless music is studied from an early age.

My husband and I recently married in December of 2023. So to all the wedding couples out there, I know what you're going through and I'm here to help! I can't wait to hear your story and work with you to provide the soundtrack for your event.
